The Republican Supermajority in the Indiana General Assembly has been in total control since 2010.  My opponent, Woody Burton, has held his seat for 30 years!  Under Republican leadership, Indiana has fallen in every category that matters.

In 2010, US News and World Report ranked Indiana’s overall quality of life 21st out of 50. In 2015 we dropped to 39th.  And this year we are 46th*

It’s time for change.  Without doing something different, Indiana will continue this downward slide. Voting for Democrats up and down the ballot will allow us to begin the hard work of bringing Indiana back where we belong.

Indiana NOWPAC endorses Cindy Reinert!

Here is Cindy's statement upon receiving the endorsement from Indiana NOWPAC:

I am extremely thankful to receive this endorsement from IN NOWPAC. The National Organization for Women has a deep meaning for me. I have actively worked for
advocacy for women through education, litigation, and working with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Many of the main focuses of my campaign are protecting women’s access to reproductive health needs, pregnancy discrimination, equal rights under the law regarding wages, jobs, and education opportunities. Discrimination against women in the workplace, LGBTQ rights, and sexual harrassment are also part of my campaign’s platform.

I have marched with NOW in DC and in Indianapolis. My generation of women helped start the sexual revolution which included access to birth control and the rights of women to control their own bodies. I have always and will continue to stand with NOW in all their advocacy, including involving more women in the political process, and helping to get all people access to the polls.

Thank you NOW, for having confidence in me and my campaign, and I look forward to working closely with you when I am in the IN House of Representatives!

Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America is a grassroots movement of Americans fighting for new and stronger solutions to lax gun laws and loopholes. Since its inception after the tragedy at Sandy Hook School, Moms Demand Action has established a chapter in every state of the country and, along with Mayors Against Illegal Guns and the Everytown Survivor Network, is part of Everytown for Gun Safety, the largest gun violence prevention organization in the country with more than four million supporters.

They have recognized Cynthia Reinert as a Gun Sense Candidate for standing up for gun violence prevention and recognizing gun safety.
