Indiana NOWPAC endorses Cindy Reinert!
Here is Cindy’s statement upon receiving the endorsement from Indiana NOWPAC:
I am extremely thankful to receive this endorsement from IN NOWPAC. The National Organization for Women has a deep meaning for me. I have actively worked for
advocacy for women through education, litigation, and working with the Indiana Coalition Against Domestic Violence.
Many of the main focuses of my campaign are protecting women’s access to reproductive health needs, pregnancy discrimination, equal rights under the law regarding wages, jobs, and education opportunities. Discrimination against women in the workplace, LGBTQ rights, and sexual harrassment are also part of my campaign’s platform.
I have marched with NOW in DC and in Indianapolis. My generation of women helped start the sexual revolution which included access to birth control and the rights of women to control their own bodies. I have always and will continue to stand with NOW in all their advocacy, including involving more women in the political process, and helping to get all people access to the polls.
Thank you NOW, for having confidence in me and my campaign, and I look forward to working closely with you when I am in the IN House of Representatives!

CINDY REINERT ANNOUNCES CANDIDACY FOR INDIANA HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES, DISTRICT 58, Pledges to employ her professional and entrepreneurial experience and her dedication to her community to #MoveINForward
Greenwood, Indiana — Friday February 8, 2018 – Cindy Reinert of Greenwood, retired attorney and entrepreneur, declared her candidacy for Indiana House of Representatives, District 58 on Wednesday, January 24
“I am pleased and honored to announce my candidacy for State House District #58. My career as an attorney, along with my involvement in activism since my teenage years, have well prepared me for serving my community. My goal is to advance solutions addressing the needs and concerns of my district’s residents through state government.”
“The job of a Representative in the State House is to be an advocate for the people, to be their voice and their champion. In this role, I will work toward, among other things, the goal of eradicating our community’s unacceptable poverty, infant mortality rate, and ongoing crisis at the Department of Child Services.”
“Working toward an equitable solution for the current redistricting process will also be a major focus.”
“As the Representative for District 58, I will be a valued partner of the state’s other Representatives, using my experience and skills to forge a team that will Move Indiana Forward. Only through a spirit of cooperation and dedication will we build the pathway to the common goal: Identify, foster, and utilize Indiana’s strengths, as well as those of her citizens, to create a fulfilling and prosperous life for all. I will be an integral driver of solutions to that end.”
“I look forward to an energetic and positive campaign, to interacting with the citizens of District 58, to learning more about the wants and needs of my district’s constituents, and, when the campaign is over, to rolling up my sleeves and getting to work tackling and overcoming the challenges that face us.”
